20 minute “mostly blind” contour drawing, pen and ink, paper.
I have barely had the chance to pick up a sketchbook lately, in between moving apartments and it being the start of gardening season, but I ran into these wonderful folks at the Yellow Bookstore on California Ave. and it turns out they get together for a casual evening of drawing and art creating about once a month or so. It was great to get some practice in, and I hope to join them again sometime. The model sat for four poses and I managed to get something resembling a contour drawing done before the evening was through.
I have been doing more gardening than anything else lately, and I am wondering whether I should start posting that sort of thing here, or keep this space strictly for scribbling. It isn’t like I had any set definition in mind or any purpose at all when I started this tumblr, so I suppose I might just see how it develops for me. Stay tuned.
